PERSONAL PROFILE
I was born in Toronto in
1943 and married my wife, Joan, in 1967. We became Burlington residents in 1971 where we have raised
our three children, and our family has been committed and active citizens
of Burlington throughout.
I feel it is important to be
an active and committed member of your community and as such I have, and
continue to be involved in various activities and organizations in and
about the City of Burlington, including former coach of Burlington Lions
Optimist Minor Hockey Association and Burlington Organized Minor Baseball
Association. I have, for
many years, been involved as a coach, co-ordinator, delegate, and a past member
of the executive committee of the Burlington International Games. These games consist of friendly
sports competition between youths of the City of Burlington and the
cities of Burlington Vermont, Itabashi Japan, Longueuil Quebec, and
Burlington Iowa. I am also a member of Halton Habitat For Humanity.
I enjoy many sporting activities including
golf, cycling, running and I particularly enjoy hockey. I am a member of the Burlington
Oldtimers Hockey Club Inc. where I participate not only as a player, but
on various of its organizational functions and committees.
I believe that my involvement in the community has given me the ability
to see the human side of any given legal matter and thus the ability to
provide not only competent service, but caring and cost effective service
as well. |
